Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you are someone who is used to handling things on your own. Many of the people I work with are highly capable, thoughtful, and deeply self-aware, yet still find themselves feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, disconnected, or stuck in painful relationship patterns they cannot seem to break. From the outside, others may see someone who is functioning well and keeping everything together. Internally, however, there may be a constant sense of pressure, self-doubt, overthinking, emotional loneliness, or difficulty fully relaxing and feeling safe.

If you have landed here, there is a good chance that some part of you is wanting things to feel different.

You may be tired of carrying everything alone. You may feel disconnected from yourself in relationships or uncertain about your needs, boundaries, or direction in life. You may find yourself repeating patterns of people-pleasing, over-functioning, anxiety, perfectionism, emotional shutdown, or fear of rejection. You may also simply feel that something is missing — a greater sense of connection, authenticity, groundedness, or emotional freedom.

Therapy can become a space where these patterns begin to make sense rather than simply feeling frustrating or shameful.
